The aluminum lattice tower that will form the basis of the antenna installation on the roof of the Alfvén Laboratory was attached to its base on 13 October 2020. Cabling and outdoor boxes for low-noise antenna pre-amplifiers and bandpass filters (for minimizing interference from terrestrial radio sources) are being prepared. Winter is approaching so there is a certain urgency to complete this work before we have snow on the roof (that was rare last winter).
